FIVE Characteristics of a Strong,
Christian Leaders

1. Integrity

Leading with integrity means being honest and upright in all actions and decisions, reflecting God's character. A leader's word should align with their actions, fostering trust and credibility.

“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” (Proverbs 11:3)

2. Humility

True leadership involves humility—acknowledging dependence on God and valuing others above oneself. A humble leader serves rather than demands to be served.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” (Philippians 2:3)

3. Leadership

Christian leadership is about guiding others with wisdom, courage, and servanthood, following the example of Christ. Leaders are called to inspire and influence in ways that honor God.

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” (Matthew 20:26)

4. Compassion

A compassionate leader demonstrates care and concern for others, particularly in times of need, reflecting Christ’s love and empathy.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

5. Generosity

Generosity in leadership involves giving freely of resources, time, and encouragement, recognizing all blessings come from God and are to be shared.

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25)
