5 Core Values: A Crew Series Part 3

In our journey of faith, we're called to be more than just hearers of the Word—we're called to be doers. The concept of discipleship isn't just a label we wear, but a transformative journey we embark on daily. Jesus' Great Commission in Matthew 28 challenges us to 'go and make disciples,' teaching them to obey everything He has commanded. This isn't just about knowledge; it's about obedience and living out our faith. We're reminded of God's first command in Genesis 1:28 to 'be fruitful and multiply.' This isn't just about numerical growth, but about growing in character and spiritual fruitfulness. As we reflect on John 15:8, we're challenged to bear fruit that glorifies God and visibly demonstrates our discipleship. Are we producing grapes or thorns, figs or thistles in our lives? Our fruit should be both visible and beneficial to those around us. Who's taking a bite out of our life? Whose day is better because they encountered us? As we navigate this journey, let's remember that discipleship is a daily choice, a habit that requires intentional effort to produce the fruit of the Spirit rather than the fruit of the flesh.
