Maybe this is your first loss, or maybe you’ve lost other children in the past. Maybe you have other children here on Earth, or a small or large support system. Whether these statements fit your situation or they do not, there are solid truths that we know about God that never falter. Let’s explore those truths together.
God walks with you.
The Bible describes Jesus as a man of sorrows & acquainted with grief. He is a God who has the ability to empathize with you.
God is omnipresent.
He is with you now, He was with you during your loss, and He will be with you even as you heal.
God can heal.
He desires to heal your heart, your mind, and your body. He is close to the brokenhearted and that He binds up your wounds.
Your grief is real.
Your grief is real. You lost a child and it's okay to process those feelings. It doesn't mean that you're doubting your faith if you have sorrow. Even Jesus wept when his friend Lazarus died. Give yourself permission to process those feelings.
You can grieve with hope.
1 Thessalonians 4 reminds us that when those that we love die, we are to grieve but that we grieve differently than the world because we have hope. Remind yourself of the truth that we have a hope because of what Jesus did on the cross.
There is rest in Christ.
John 14 says “My Father's house has many rooms. I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” You can rest knowing Christ has made a way for you to rest, lie besides still waters and green pastors, He has not forgotten you.

OUR PRAYER FOR YOU
“Dear Jesus, we pray today for women and men who are walking through a season of loss. I pray that they will cling to You and be reminded of Your promises. I pray that Your Holy Spirit will bring supernatural rest and peace over them. I pray against fear in Jesus' name. Lord guide them through this dark season one step at a time. We know that You are faithful even in grief and sorrow. May they sense this truth in their spirit. Give them the courage to grieve well, clinging to the hope that’s found in You alone. Amen.”
