From the very first True North Service at a small VFW hall, God has faithfully moved on our behalf, presenting opportunity after opportunity to see more people transformed by a relationship with Jesus and find meaningful connection in biblical community. Through the acquisition and future remodeling of the former Sear’s property, God has positioned us to reach the city of Vineland and the greater Cumberland County area – to witness lives changed, hope restored, and generations passionate about serving Jesus. Staying on mission, and being obedient to God’s calling to enlarge the tent through the resources He has graciously provided, means securing the Legacy He has imprinted on our church family and giving Him glory as He fulfills every promise.
As we move forward with approvals and renovation of the Vineland Campus of True North Church, we will update this page as frequently as possible to keep you up to speed on progress. In the meantime, check out our FAQ section below:
Where is the Vineland Campus located?
The Vineland Campus will be located in the footprint of the historic Sears building on the corner of Delsea Drive and Landis Avenue.
Why Vineland for a second campus?
Over the last three years, we have been collecting data at key points to determine the best area for a new campus. We have a large group of people, families, and leaders traveling from Vineland to our Mullica Hill Campus each week. As we scouted facilities in multiple cities over that time, Vineland was always a city we were watching closely and prayerfully. When God provided an opportunity to acquire the Sears building, it affirmed His direction and next steps for True North.
What is the timeline for opening the campus?
The answer to that question will be determined by several factors including continued assessment protocols and design processes by professionals and our team, the approval process through the municipality, and general construction variables when that stage is reached. Ultimately, our goal is to move as quickly as possible while being good stewards of the resources God is aligning and strategic in building a great team that will move at the right pace to create an excellent environment for church. When construction begins, it could take between 10-12 months to complete the project and be ready to open the doors.
What can I do right now to be a part of the expansion and launch?
There are many things you can do right now to be involved in several aspects of the Vineland launch. Here is a quick list:
Pray: Begin praying daily for favor as we move forward. Pray for our staff, leaders, volunteers, and others who will be working together to plan and prep for this future campus. Pray that all of the many steps required to undertake this project will proceed smoothly and that God will continue to provide wisdom and direction in any challenges we may face. Pray for the city of Vineland, its people and leaders, and all of the people and families we will serve.
Give: Launching a new campus of this magnitude will require financial resources. The generosity of this house has resulted in our ability to acquire the property in cash and we believe that level of generosity will be integral in creating the margin needed to remodel the facility and launch weekly services. Remember, you aren’t giving to a mere building, but sowing into God’s desire to see the city and people of Vineland encounter the Gospel and be loved and cared for extravagantly as they realize His purpose for their lives. To that extent, we have already open up the ability to financially support the Vineland Campus construction and launch. See more details about that below.
Act: If you live in Vineland, Cumberland County, or the surrounding areas, or have an interest in committing to serve and attend at that campus, we would love to invite you to our first Vineland Campus interest meeting on October 17th (register here). This meeting will enable us to unpack the vision with more depth and clarity, as well as provide details about our strategy for building momentum during the season leading up to launch.

What if I don’t currently attend True North but want to be a part of the Vineland Campus when it launches?
That’s great! We are excited you will be part of the True North family. We would encourage you to consider coming up to our Mullica Hill Campus until we are ready to launch in Vineland. This will allow you to get connected into the church and begin building relationships with others who will be a part of our future Vineland home. If you have any questions about our service times, ministry opportunities, or need further details about church, email us at [email protected]
Though our 2025 Legacy Offering focus (in the Spring) will be funding the Vineland Campus, a giving designation for the campus is open now for those who wish to contribute early. You can find that dropdown via our normal online giving link or write a check with the designation “Vineland Legacy.”
