Through the Fire

Sep 21, 2025    Ps. Jesse Eisenhart

We're challenged to examine our faith in the face of adversity. The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from Daniel 3 serves as a compelling example of unwavering conviction. These young men, when faced with the threat of death, chose to honor God rather than bow to a false idol. Their response, 'Our God is able to save us... but even if He doesn't, we will not serve your gods,' is a testament to unconditional faith. This narrative invites us to reflect on our own convictions. Are we living out our faith only when it's convenient, or do we stand firm even in the face of opposition? The message challenges us to cultivate a faith that isn't dependent on outcomes, but on the unchanging nature of God. It reminds us that true worship isn't just about what we say, but how we live our lives daily. As we navigate our own 'fiery furnaces,' we're encouraged to trust in God's presence, even when we can't see the outcome.
