DAY THIRTEEN

Purity

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
1 Corinthians 6:18

God desires for you to live a sexually pure life, in both thought and action. These rules or boundaries that God has imposed through His written word are not designed to make life unenjoyable or boring. They exist to protect you and to lead you on a path that is full of true happiness and contentment, not a temporary, counterfeit version of it. God created sex for the confines of marriage. This may surprise you, but God created sex. It was his idea for people to pro-create and enjoy each other within the confines of marriage. Sex is like a fire, in its proper place it brings warmth and enjoyment, but if it's not in its proper place, like a wildfire in a dry forest, then sex can cause harm, destruction, and regret. Sex is a sacred gift from God. I always want to remind people that there is grace and forgiveness for those who are struggling with this issue or who have made mistakes in the past. God is waiting for you to change your heart on this issue and give your life and every part of it to Him. Lamentations 3:22-23 says “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
