Part 3: Tools for Discipleship
This teaching reminds us that we already possess everything we need to help others grow in their faith journey. Drawing from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 and James 5:16, we're challenged to recognize five essential tools God has placed in our hands: prayer, our personal testimony, Scripture, the local church, and the Holy Spirit. The beauty of discipleship isn't found in being an expert or having all the answers—it's found in simply being available. When we pray for and with others in the moment, share our two-to-three minute story of transformation, apply one relevant verse to someone's struggle, connect people with our faith community, and ask the Holy Spirit for real-time wisdom, we become effective disciple-makers. We don't need to be the toolbox holding everything together—that's the role of the local church. We simply need to use the tools we've been given and trust that God will work through our availability.
